Bandcamp is Donating 100% of Their Share of Sales to the Transgender Law Center this Friday

Much like their first successful fundraiser for the ACLU, Bandcamp is donating 100% of their share of music sold on their site this Friday to the Transgender Law Center, in response to the US's decision to exclude transgender troops from the military.

Maintaining their position as one of the most progressive and artist-focused streaming services in the industry right now, Bandcamp has stated,

"Bandcamp is a platform for artistic expression, and all manner of variance in experience and identity, including gender and sexuality, is welcome here. We support our LGBT+ users and staff, and we stand against any person or group that would see them further marginalized."

In standing in support of transgender rights, the Transgender Law Center, and Bandcamp, we've rounded up a list of 10 local Halifax Pop Explosion alumni on Bandcamp that you can snag some music from for a great cause this Friday.

Also, if you're an artist or label, find out how to donate your share of sales to the Transgender Law Center here.
