Dog Day

Since 2005's debut EP, Thank You, Dog Day has shown a singular ability to manifest excitement. A restful hibernation followed 2013's prophetically named Fade Out, and now the perennial Dog Day is sprouting again. Seth Smith, Nancy Urich, original returning drummer KC Spidle and brand new member Meg Yoshida have coalesced into a brand new doggy. Yoshida and Spidle play together in Bad Vibrations, Yoshida and Urich play together in Not You—this mix of comfort, friendship and Smith's meaningful pop songs is the musical equivalent of pulling out your spring jacket from storage and finding a crisp $20 in the pocket. With a brand new record on the way, Dog Day is emerging from a comfortable silence between friends with something captivating to say.
